Entry Grades at Clerical/Administrative level include:

South Dublin County Council recruits a number of professionals including Engineers, Planners, Architects, and Solicitors.

Entry grades at professional level are as follows:

  • Graduate
  • Assistant
  • Executive

For the position of Graduate all you need is a relevant degree to be eligible to apply and the salary scale is dependent on the grade you obtain in your degree – for example if a Graduate Engineer were to be employed with a 2nd Class Honours Degree he/she would receive €35,693.00 per annum (figures correct @ 1st June, 2007). After 2 years relevant post –graduate experience (which can include a Masters Degree & does not have to be Local Authority experience) you would then (when advertised) be eligible to apply for a position as an Assistant Engineer (starting salary is €40,767.00), people with 5 years relevant post-graduate experience are then eligible to apply for posts of Executive Engineer (starting salary is €47,315.00).
